Instant Karma offers Speed and Seaworthiness

With indoor and outdoor living spaces, the new Seawind 1260, Instant Karma, is a “Sailor’s Cat”. With its sloped bows and low-profile deckhouse it stands out with a slender look that results in a superior design. The tapered bows help reduce windage.

The low-profile cabin house is also a result of function as the saloon and cockpit soles are on the same level, and while that might not be unusual, having twin helms in the cockpit is. There’re no climbing narrow stairs up to the helm station that needs to be perched high enough to see over the cabin house. That’s because the extended large windows provide 360-degree panorama views from anywhere in the cockpit, including from the helms.

There are windows in the aft end of the cabin house just forward of the helms that lower with an electric switch to increase visibility and also allow the chart plotter to swivel to face the saloon for keeping an eye out while in the interior of the boat.

The helm stations are the main command center of the boat. All control lines lead aft to winches at the helms. One of the benefits of twin helms is that you can steer from either side depending on weather conditions or docking situations.

The three-panel companionway door quickly folds and then is lifted into a recess in the hard-top bimini and locked into place. This opens up the saloon and the aft deck, making one huge living space. Perfect for entertaining large groups.

The cockpit makes the most of the 22-foot 3-inch beam. Along the aft cockpit under what the company calls a Targa arch is a settee bordered by a grill to port and an outdoor sink to starboard, both situated in lockers that close when not in use. So convenient for serving guests and family members.

Modular furniture is a signature feature of Instant Karma. The U-shaped settee can be reconfigured into a daybed or set up as dining seating around a table that converts from cocktail to dining height. The navigation desk is located on the port side of the settee and is large enough to lay out a full-size chart. The three-cabin interior layout has a port side owner’s cabin and larger head with two other berths on the starboard side.
Instant Karma is an Australian indoor/outdoor catamaran with an open lifestyle. This new design, with an unbeatable living area is complimented with brilliant natural ventilation, protected cockpit lounge, and social helm seats that puts the skipper in control as well as in the conversation. This sleek cat will easily hit 8 knots in the puffy 15-knot winds. Perfect for the cruising or racing enthusiast.
